Connections can be direct or use an encrypted relay when a direct route is unavailable. Connection services help devices find each other and establish a session.
Those services can process network metadata. Peer-to-peer communication does not mean anonymous communication.

A few things
to know.
Do both people need to be online?
Both devices need a working connection to exchange messages. Delivery and reconnection depend on the devices, browsers and networks involved.
Do I need to install anything?
Nolyn runs in a browser. On supported browsers and devices, you can also install it as a progressive web app.
What happens if I clear my browser data?
You can lose locally stored conversations and your device identity. Create an encrypted backup before clearing data or changing devices.
Can I join the beta?
We are introducing Nolyn gradually to testers through personal invitations. Public registration is not open.
