The opponent

Plays at your level — not against it.

Pick the fight you want. Every level plays real, coherent moves; the difference is how hard it makes you work, not how randomly it blunders. The games you win feel earned, and the ones you lose teach you something.

Most bots either crush you or fall apart. This one is beatable by design.

GentleHonest, beatable chess for finding your feet again.
BalancedPushes back. Punishes the loose move.
SharpDoesn't miss much. Bring your best.

The coach

Teaches you. Doesn't play for you.

Make a move and the coach quietly points out what it opens up — then leaves the answer to you. Want a nudge? Ask for a hint. Want to be left alone? Switch it off. Either way, you're the one playing.

Consequence-based coaching that builds your board vision instead of replacing it.

YouBishop takes on f6.
CoachThat leaves your knight on d5 undefended.
Black can take it next move.

The finish

Always converts the win.

Ask most casual chess bots to finish a King-and-Queen-versus-King ending and watch them stumble into a repetition or stalemate the game away. This one never does. It knows the exact fastest mate and plays it — it can't hang the piece, can't stalemate, and won't let a won game slip.

When you're winning, you win. That's rarer in casual apps than it should be.

Questions, answered.

Is it free?

Yes — completely. No account, no ads, no payment, nothing to unlock.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in your browser. If you want, you can install it to your home screen for one-tap access and full offline play.

Does it work offline?

Once it has loaded, yes — completely. No connection needed to play.

Is it good for beginners?

That's exactly who it's built for. The Gentle level is genuinely beatable, and the coach helps you see what you're missing.
